During my trip to Europe I had a chance to do a near Augsburg MTB ride. We started somewhere at the outskirt of Augsburg, an ancient Bavaria city in south Germany.
At first we did a nice stroll through local roads and neighborhoods, heading towards the forest center.
In this Augsburg MTB ride we had someone trying out the E-mtb!
Onto gravel road!
There seemed to be some lumbering activities here.
As we came to the forest center, we started to do a first little descend.

The Raining Phase
As we approach our first stop, rain mixed with hail began to pour from the sky. We had no choice but to stay under the forest for a while.
Holy wet and chilly!
To save our time and keep warm, we decided to do some climbs under the rain. No pleasant, but at least we were not so cold!
There was some workout stations in the forest. Quite surprising!
After some pedaling we decided to head into the woods again. There were many roots on the forest trails, and the rain made them very slippery!
A downhill trail which was regularly used by our guide Mike. But not today!
Monet styled shot.
The roots made climbing hard and sometimes we had to walk our bikes!
And finally, we were ready to do another descend through the woods!
Discussing forward trail situation.
VIDEO: Second Descend!
After the second descend, the sky finally cleared out!
Gathering our members.
From here we started to do another climb toward a view point.
Then we did our 3rd descend here, which I crashed a little bit due to the slippery roots! The root was in 1 o’clock direction, which pushed my bike towards right so I flew to the left.

Looking back at the descending trail.
To Vista Point
Having some fun of the descend we climbed again to a vista point and see the views.
Arriving vista point!
Our way down!
Then we went down again, having fun another time with the slippery roots and mud pots!
Small forest creek.
Out of the woods!
In Europe you could find a water fountain supplying drinkable water, which was pretty nice!
Last two trails
Finally we did some repetition on the two trails here.
First trail’s head.
Climbing back. There were children on this trail so I went slow and didn’t take photos.
A steep drop at the second trail.
And then after 3 hours of ride we were ready to go home and take some hot showers!
